Welcome to the Cedar Wood Inn, a one-of-a-kind travelers hotel that provides the peace and quiet of country living yet is central to everything, affordable, and filled with unique and memorable details. 

Currently under new ownership we are excited to keep the uniqueness and friendly environment that guests have grown to love.

Getting Here

The Inn features private guest parking and is steps from the Deadwood trolly stop for hassle-free access to downtown attractions.

Cedar Wood Inn is equally perfect for guests who have come to the Black Hills for outdoor adventures or simply to enjoy the natural beauty they offer. The Cedar Wood Inn is central to all major regional attractions—everything from hiking, fishing, climbing at Spearfish Canyon, skiing at Terry Peak, horseback riding, and visits to historic sites like Mt. Rushmore. 

From I-90
Take exit 17 (Hwy 85 South) to Deadwood. At fourth stop light, turn left to continue following Hwy 85 South. Turn right at next stop light. Go approximately 1/2 mile. Cedar Wood Inn will be on your left.

From Hwy 385 (Mt Rushmore Area)
Follow 385 to Hwy 85 . Turn right at Hwy 85. Go approximately 1 mile. Cedar Wood Inn will be on your right as you enter Deadwood.

From Hwy 85 North
Turn right at first stop light in Lead. Go straight through town. Go approximately 3 miles toward Deadwood. Cedar Wood Inn will be on your right.
